As muslim, i can't but to agree and accept the content of this Taqwah 'as is' even though it is seemingly a combination of some hadith (sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammed (SAW)) and of course, the writers opinion.

Additionally, i didn't quite understand what he meant by 'we justify as lawful the atrocities of terrorism'.

The writer also mentioned that 'there is no room for coercion in Islam and no one can be forced to convert'. Of course i do recall the Prophet lived with and trusted a Christian king with some valuables. That king eventually converted to Islam without being coerced... I also know that the Prophet was at war a number of times (will research to find out why).

Generally, the writer has condemned terrorism as well as preached the need for a peaceful co-existence... For me, it is a welcome idea especially coming from a muslim cleric. It will be nice to also read in similar tune, from a Christian cleric in the nearest future.

'we justify as lawful the atrocities of terrorism'

That part puzzled me too. I am guessing this is a printer's devil and he probably meant UN-lawful.

Altogeether, this is a welcome development.

@Muhammed: the Christians clerics do not need to make any declaration at this time. why because Christians are the victims. When they become the aggressor's, it will be necessary. for now, good muslims should support this statemnet and cast out the evildoers giving the religion a badneme
